Model Frequently Asked Questions
HOW WILL I HEAR ABOUT UPCOMING OPPORTUNITES?
Once your paperwork has been received, you will be marked as “Active” in our database. As opportunities become available, those with “Active” statuses will receive an email from us. If you are interested/available for the opportunity simply reply to the email with any information requested. Please DO NOT reply to an opportunity if you are not available.
HOW WILL I KNOW IF I AM BOOKED FOR AN EVENT?
If you are booked for an event, you will receive a booking confirmation via email. Be sure to promptly respond to all emails, text messages and phone calls to confirm your booking. Failure to confirm in a timely manner may result in Daffe Models reassigning the booking.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE COMPENSATION?
Your booking email will include payment details. Please note that compensation is not sent until event reporting is completed.
WHERE / HOW DO I SUBMIT EVENT REPORTS?
Daffemodels.com/recap unless specified in your booking or recap reminder emails.
HOW MANY BOOKING OFFERS CAN I EXPECT TO RECEIVE?
We cannot predict the frequency in your particular area. Our clients determine when and where staff are needed. In general, staff who are responsive & client favorites are first to be considered for future jobs! In some cases Daffe Models is able to chose the staff selected, but the majority of the time the client choses the staff based off of comp cards.
HOW CAN I INCREASE MY BOOKING OFFERS?
Updated professional images! Clients are 95% more likely to chose a model with professional images. We do not submit “selfie” images unless specifically requested by a client.
WHAT TYPE OF PHOTOS SHOULD I SEND WHEN SUBMITTING MY PAPERWORK?
We request at least 5 professional images including a ‘headshot’ and ‘full body shot’ – clear, smiling photos. We will not reimburse you for the cost of headshots, resumes, or other such professional expenses. From time to time we may request social media links and “selfie” images.
WHEN SHOULD I UPDATE MY PHOTOS?
You should submit at least 5 professional images when your look changes. Changing your look includes, but is not limited to: new visible tattoos or piercings, dyed hair (another color), weight changes, etc.
I HAVE RESPONDED TO THE EMAILS, BUT I HAVEN'T RECEIVED A BOOKING YET. WHY?
We work with various models, and there are only so many bookings. Please continue replying to booking announcements if you are available/interested. We greatly appreciate your continued response and look forward to (hopefully) working together very soon!
AM I CONSIDERED AN EMPLOYEE OR AN INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR?
You are considered an independent contractor. As a contractor, we recommend that you consult with your tax preparer to discuss any specific questions about taxes, deductions and related questions.
LIQUOR TASTINGS- WHAT DO I NEED?
Refer to your booking email. Typically brand ambassadors utilize: foldable/portable sampling table, wine opener, black table cloth, unbranded ice bucket & shaker. If you do not already have these items, we suggest purchasing at an affordable store such as Dollar Tree. These items are not reimbursed by Daffe Models.
ATTIRE- WHAT DO I WEAR?
Refer to your booking email. Typically on & off premise brand ambassadors will be requested to wear black dress pants, black unbranded dress top (button down or polo style) & closed toe shoes. At all times you should be presentable & neat.
